FSC/LAF Response to Violence at the U.S Capitol from ED Cornelius Blanding

Equity and inclusion derive from fair democratic processes, which we believe to be the core of the cooperative model. For 53 years, we have fought injustices with education, outreach and economic resources denied to our most vulnerable communities. Yet, we have and continue to place power in our democratic processes. Now more than ever, we must recognize the need for systemic and social change and for institutions to step up and mitigate economic challenges exacerbated by civil unrest and inequity as seen more prevalent this year. As a cooperative institution, we will continue to work towards a cooperative future that encompasses equity and justice.
