Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Vernon Jordan- FSC/LAF

Our condolences and prayers go out to the family of Vernon Jordan. We have lost a giant and true champion of economic and civil rights. Mr. Jordan was an early champion of the idea of a collaboration of grassroots African American cooperatives working together on issues of economic solidarity in the South in the 60’s. As part of the Southern Regional Council, he, the late Congressman John Lewis, and others were instrumental in the organizing of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives in 1967. Rest In Peace Vernon Jordan....your presence was felt and your legacy continues in numerous ways. You will be missed!
