CELEBRATE

with

US.

Join us for our 58th Annual Meeting—a special three-day event beginning Thursday, August 14, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, and continuing through Saturday, August 16, at our historic, Rural Training and Research Center in Epes, Alabama.

This year, we are proud to honor Phylicia Rashad as the 24th recipient of the Estelle Witherspoon Lifetime Achievement Award, the Federation’s highest honor. She will be recognized during our largest annual fundraiser as we celebrate nearly 60 years of cooperative development, land retention, and advocacy. Read Ms. Rashad's full bio here.

The theme of this year’s Annual Meeting is “Memorializing Our Legacy.” This powerful theme honors the generations who built, protected, and advanced the cooperative movement across the rural South. Together, we will honor the past, uplift the present, and prepare for the future.

We look forward to seeing you there.

We Are Hiring!

"I joined the Federation in November 2023 as a Field Accountant. I genuinely enjoy my role here, helping our members adopt and maintain effective record-keeping practices for their operations. In addition to my work with the Federation, I raise cattle in Central Texas, managing the daily operations of my family ranch. This hands-on experience allows me to connect with our members on a personal level, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their success."

Our Mission

is to be a catalyst for the development of self-supporting communities through cooperative economic development, land retention, and advocacy.

We envision sustainable rural communities supported by a network of farmers, landowners, and cooperatives based on local control and ownership.
